Water Services

Angledool Bore Construction


The construction of an artesian bore with storage and reticulation to the village of Angledool. Funding for works secured under Infrastructure NSW Water Security for Regions program. Expected completion October 2015.

Ground Water Investigation Gongolgon

Carryout Hydro-geological investigations around the village of Gongolgon with the intention of locating a secure water yield which will have the capacity to supply water to the village. Funding for works secured under Infrastructure NSW Water Security for Regions program Round 2. Expected completion is November 2015.

Automated Watering System Naveena Park

Installation of automated watering system in Naveena park Brewarrina to create a much more efficient and sustainable system. Expected completion August 2015.

Electrical and Telemetry Upgrades Brewarrina & Goodooga


The upgrade of electrical control cabinets on Councils water and Sewerage infrastructure to allow for external monitoring of pumping stations and water plants in both Brewarrina and Goodooga. Expected completion November 2015.

Sewerage Services

Proposed Brewarrina Sewerage Treatment Plant Design

Council is currently in the process of designing a proposed new sewerage treatment plant for Brewarrina. The project has been identified in Council's Water and Sewerage Strategic Business plan to be replaced by 2019. This has prompted Council to start looking at concepts and design to help lobby for funding through state and federal governments to undertake the proposed upgrades. Detailed designs expected to be completed by November 2015.

Barwon 4 Sewerage Pump Station Upgrades

Council is currently undertaking major upgrade works of sewer pumping station 1 & 2 at Barwon 4. These works form part of the Aboriginal Communities Water and Sewerage program. Expected completion November 2015.
