Strategic Business Plan Water and Sewerage

At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 27 May 2011 Council resolved that:

• council adopt the action plan (Appendix A) for the Strategic Business Plan;
• issue the Strategic Business Plan for peer review by the LMWUA as requested and forward a copy to the NSW Office of Water for information;
• exhibit the document through public exhibition, notices through press releases and workshops; and
• engage the State Government in terms of co-funding the programme.

The Strategic Business Plan; Water Supply and Sewer Services was sent to the Lower Macquarie Water Utilities Alliance for peer review.  Stewart McCleod from Dubbo City Council completed this task and advised that the Strategic Business Plan is suitable for Council to adopt and forward to the NSW Office of Water for information.

The Strategic Business Plan was put on public exhibition for 28 days and a public notice was advertised in the Western Magazine to appear on 22 August 2011 and the Brewarrina News to appear on 24 August 2011.  The Strategic Business Plan was on public exhibition until 21 September 2011 and calls for comments and submissions on the Plan were requested in writing.

No comments or written submissions on the Strategic Business Plan; Water Supply and Sewer Services were received.

Council adopted the Plan at the 28 October 2011 Council meeting
