During the preparation of Brewarrina Shire's Community Strategic Plan, a vision was identified for the Shire; namely:
"A united and inspired community, valuing country and our heritage, working together for the future of our people and lands".
Brewarrina Shire Council determined that one key means by which to maintain the momentum created within the community to achieve this vision was through the preparation of the 2019 Destination Management Plan and Economic Development and Tourism (EDT) Plan .
Council engaged Blackadder Associates in April 2010 to assist with the development of the Plan. This was only possible due to Council obtaining funding from the NSW Department of Industry and Investment. Council adopted the Plan in April 2011.
While the Plan's preparation is being coordinated by Council, it is not a Council document; the Plan is owned by you, the community.
