Youth Activities Officer - Casual

Applications are invited from individuals for the above position to join the community services team at Brewarrina Shire Council. Our Team is committed to providing a flexible, caring and supportive environment that promotes health wellbeing and respectful social interactions. We provide fun afternoon and school holiday activities that draw on resilience, respect and being a part of our Community. We offer advice and referrals as required; along with case management in collaboration with relevant Community Service providers, which encourages Children, Youth and Families to achieve their goals

The Youth Activities Officer position is responsible for assisting with the delivery of Youth Services and School Holiday Programs to Youth in the Brewarrina Shire.

Minimum Requirements

·       A current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain a current Working with Children Check is mandatory for this position (to be eligible, applicants must be over 18 years of age)

·       Current First Aid & CPR Certificates or the ability to obtain

·       WHS Knowledge

Applicants are required to work flexible hours to accommodate various Centre activities.

The position is offered as a Band 1, Level 2, Grade 1, Step 1 ($23.26 per hour, pro-rata entitlements) and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2017.
